Yoga Den to stretch its franchise footprint

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Since 2002, Alyson and Chip Foreacre have shared the world of yoga through their Yoga Den studios.

It all started in Mandarin as a neighborhood program. At first, the couple did not plan to open a yoga studio, but after seeing the program’s growth and the need to relocate the couple decided to open their own studio. In 2016, Yoga Den had expanded into eight locations, including Keystone Heights, Fleming Island and Oakleaf, and the couple decided to turn it into a franchise.

“Over the last 21 years we have received an overwhelming amount of love for Yoga Den, and that has also created an organic growth in franchising our studios.” Alyson Foreacre, the president and lead instructor, said.

Serving in Clay, Duval and Nassau counties, Yoga Den offers something to everyone whether it involves relaxation, therapy or intense yoga. Individuals can enjoy a variety of yoga classes such as Mind Body, Sun Power, Fusion, Floor Base and Yin that focus on different aspects of the body and mind. Individuals also can feel at ease as the classes offer a non-judgmental environment and encourage people to listen to their bodies.

“We offer lots of modifications and variation. It’s not the traditional yoga of ‘you have to look this way, or you have to make the shape just like this way.’ It isn’t that at all,” Alyson said.

The Yoga Den offers a place for people to meet new friends and contribute to the communities through their fundraisers.

Overall, the couple are looking forward to expanding their franchise and sharing the world of yoga with others. As of now, they have nine studios in Northeast Florida and plan to include 10 additional studios by the summer of 2024. In addition, they just expanded their leadership team with the partnerships of Stephen Joost, a former partner of Firehouse Subs, and John and Leyda Cooksey, who were former co-owners of the McCall Services.

The franchise is planning to target Ponte Verde Beach, St. Augustine and Middleburg for potential locations. “I truly believe yoga equals more peace, and now we can offer peace and convenience through more locations,” said Foreacre said.
