Ask Kyla: When will the CR 220 bridge be completed?

Can you please check to see when the bridge is supposed to be completed and if they are currently on schedule?

After doing some research, I found that construction for the new bridge over Little Black Creek is currently on schedule.

The old bridge was removed entirely, and the first bridge piles were reinstalled in June.

As of Aug. 12, the entire County Road 220 widening project, from Knight Boxx Road to Hollars Place, just west of the Henley intersection, was said to be 45% complete. And at that time, more than half of the new bridge deck had been poured.  Drainage pipe installation is also continuing along CR 220.

The county advised that drivers should continue to expect lane closures and potential delays as the project progresses.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
