Betty Anne Sewell Williams

Betty Anne Sewell Williams died Thursday, August 24, 2023. Mrs. Williams was born June 14, 1930, to Royce J. Sewell, Sr. and Flora Wilbanks Sewell in Toccoa, Georgia. She graduated from Toccoa High School and the Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville. She began her teaching career in Atlanta city schools and retired from Clay County schools. Mrs. Williams and her late husband, W. C. “Bill” Williams, were residents of Green Cove Springs for over 50 years.

Surviving Betty Williams are her children, Laura Hanna and Guerry (Sandy) Williams of Marietta, Georgia. Three grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew also survive. A private memorial service for Mrs. Williams will be held this fall. Marietta Funeral Home, Marietta Georgia is assisting the family.
