MIDDLEBURG – A Jacksonville caregiver was arrested on Sept. 11 and charged with fraudulently using a disabled woman’s identity to deposit and cash checks and exploiting an elderly woman of at least $10,000.

Kenya Aliciae Whitaker, 44, turned herself into the Clay County Jail after learning the sheriff’s office had obtained an arrest warrant.

According to the affidavit for the warrant, Whitaker used the victim’s checking account to deposit checks and remove money from the account with her ATM card.

Whitaker’s bond is $40,024.
