The funeral for Anthony “Tony” Reno will be on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the First Baptist Church, 2645 Blanding Blvd., in Middleburg. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11 a.m. The funeral procession will travel to Holly Hill Cemetary, 3601 Old Jennings Road, in Middleburg. A multi-agency Honor Guard will give the honors. Reno, the School Resource Officer at Plantation Oaks Elementary with the Clay County District Schools, was found unresponsive on Aug. 12 while diving at The Wall at Lake Jocassee in Pickens County, South Carolina. A statement by the district read: “CCDSPD and Officer Reno’s family are humbled at the outpouring of support.”
