GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Clay County Board of County Commissioners are utilizing a new tool through the online platform GovDelivery to enhance communications with the public and members of the news media.

GovDelivery allows you to select the types of email communication you wish to receive such as alerts, bulletins, newsletters or updates. You can also select specific County projects or the County Departments in which you are most interested. Subscribing is easy, click on the link here: public.govdelivery.com/accounts/FLCLAYCO/subscriber/new or visit the Current News section at www.ClayCountyGov.com. Enter your email address, set an optional password, and select your topics of interest. Emails with your selected topics will begin arriving soon.

With this new communication tool, you can stay up to date with the latest news and information or see what events are scheduled in Clay County. You can opt in for topics like pet adoptions, library events, County jobs, or road projects. You can manage your subscription preference at any time by selecting or unselecting the box next to the topic.

Chairman of the County Commission Gayward Hendry said: “We are excited to start using this new communications resource in Clay County because we know the best governments are those with an open line of communication with their citizens. If you have questions about County services, road projects or County policies, the answers can be delivered right to your email inbox. The BCC wants our residents to understand all functions of County government and how their tax dollars are being spent to serve them.”
