CLAY COUNTY – Green lights were lighting the sky throughout Clay County last week, representing something steeped in pride: support for our country’s veterans. Operation Green Light is an initiative of the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veteran Service Officers. The goal was to let veterans know they were seen, appreciated and supported by blanketing county buildings with green lights through Veterans Day. Here in Clay County, pride for our country and respect for our veterans ran deep. The goal was to create an unmistakable show of support for the men and women who dedicated their lives to our freedoms.
