FLEMING ISLAND— It was a day of cinematic fun for a group of young dreamers on Friday, June 13.

Around 30 children battling life-threatening medical conditions, along with their families, came together for a private showing of "Lilo & Stitch" at the AMC theatre.

The charismatic crowd donned their smiles, excitement and a fancy lei for the occasion. An inflatable Stitch also made a special appearance

Dreams Come True is a Jacksonville-based organization dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of children amid their illnesses.

Lake Asbury Junior High teacher Will Wood is a member of the nonprofit's Horizon Board—a group of First Coast professionals who give back to the community through the Dreams Come True mission.

Wood said that with a grant from Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty's charitable organization CBV Cares, the board was able to make the event happen.
