Elsie Clara Brown

Elsie Clara Brown, 85, passed away at her home in Middleburg Florida on September 26th, 2023. She was born September 9th, 1938 in Leadville Colorado to Walter C. Barnard and Mary Helen Anderson.

Mrs. Brown was a self-taught all-breed groomer and owned pet stores and grooming shops in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and Pineville, Louisiana before retiring and selling her last grooming shop, Brown’s Grooming located in Orange Park Florida.

Elsie is survived by two children, her daughter, Holly, with her husband James Powell, their 4 daughters, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren and Elsie’s son Claude “Leo” Going with his daughter, two sons and 1 grandchild.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her loving husband William “Billy” Brown on October 25 of 2000. She will be laid to rest beside him with graveside services for family and friends on Saturday, November 4th at 2 p.m. at Holly Hill Cemetery located at 3601 Old Jennings Road in Middleburg, Florida.
