GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Several club members came out on a cold morning and dressed up our Spring Park holiday Parade of Trees in pink: pink ribbon garlands and pink flamingos, along with clear balls with the names of all the club members written on them.
Rather than its normal monthly business meeting with a speaker, we celebrated the holidays with a nice luncheon and exchanged presents at Club Continental.
During last month’s food drive, members donated $400, 430 pounds of food and three tubs of toys.
The next meeting is at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, at the Fleming Island Library Meeting room, 1895 Town Center Blvd.
The Garden Club’s program has been changed in January. Our speaker will be our own Carin Ashman, who will present a program on “Starting With Seeds.” Meetings are free and open to the public, so we hope to see you there.
