NEW YORK – They say the only way to get to Carnegie Hall is to practice, practice, practice. Apparently, that’s exactly what the Fleming Island Wind Symphony did to earn a spot on stage Monday night. Led by conductor Alex Buck, the band performed at the iconic music hall after spending the day visiting Times Square and Manhattan. The Fleming Island marching band appeared at the New Year’s Day Parade in London a year ago.
