GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The primary purpose of the Friends of the Green Cove Springs Library is to raise money for children’s programs, and one of the ways we do this is through a quilt raffle. One of our members, Gidget Guice, made a beautiful quilt, and then we spent several months selling raffle tickets. This year’s quilt had a wild animal design, and the winner was Phil Ketner of Green Cove Springs. One of the children’s programs we helped with was the Holiday Magic Show featuring magician Mark Allan on Dec. 22. It was such an entertaining show with plenty of laughs for children and parents, and children left with either a book or a gift bag provided by the Friends of GCS Library.
