Green Cove Springs Junior High School went two for two at the Northeast Florida Athletic Conference championship soccer game held Monday at Orange Park High School with seventh grader Jordan Marshall celebrating after scoring their first goal in overtime after a tough 0-0 regulation time tie with Oakleaf Junior High that went to 1-1 with Marshall's goal and Oakleaf's Tyler Fleming's goal with just 10 seconds remaining in overtime that eventually ended with the Cougars winning 5-3 in penalty kicks off a final save from Cougars goalie Everett Haynes. Cougars coach Tony Bartel won his fourth title in six years. Right: Green Cove Springs Junior High girls soccer coach Ashleigh Nosse awaits her third straight championship trophy; three in her six years, from her athletic director Daniel Slater after Nosse's Cougars beat Oakleaf 2-0. Oakleaf and Green Cove split in regular season matches with Oakleaf getting the top seed via a tie-breaking coin flip but the Lady Cougars got two goals from Berkley Morgan for the win. Oakleaf goalie Victoria Vick knocked down nearly 25 Cougar shots on goals in an outstanding night in front of her goal.
