Last year, cinema hits like Barbie and The Super Mario Bros. Movie spawned the most sought-after costumes and trends.
If you’re wondering what this year has in store, look no further. Here are the top five costumes you may see walking around this Halloween season.

Deadpool/Lady Deadpool
Marvel’s Deadpool and Wolverine hit the theaters in July and have since greatly impacted popular culture. Making $1.336 billion at the box office, the movie has many adults (and even children) running to recreate these iconic superheroes.
Beetlejuice
This 1988 classic was remade this year into a dark comedy, fantasy horror movie. Since its release in September, BeetleJuice BeetleJuice has generated $434.6 million at the box office. The character has also gone viral on the social media platform TikTok, with many trying to recreate looks with unique makeup tutorials.
Joy from Inside Out 2
Disney’s Inside Out was a massive hit in theaters almost 10 years ago. In June, its sequel, Inside Out 2, came out and made $1.693 billion at the box office. Out of the five emotions, Joy captured hearts and gained much popularity.
Minions from Despicable Me 4
Despicable Me released its fourth movie this year and proved to be a box office success, grossing $961.2 million. The yellow minions are still a highlight in the franchise and have spawned many costume ideas.
Ghost Face
Although the seventh 'Scream' movie will be released in 2026, this classic character never fails to make an appearance every Halloween. Ghost Face has been scaring the masses since 1996, and many current trends have also gone viral on TikTok.
