CLAY COUNTY – Residents can be assured branches, downed trees and debris left behind by Hurricane Helene will be removed by a third party hired by Clay County.
Debris removal vendors will pick up hurricane debris piled by the road for several days. Be aware of where you place your debris. Do not stack debris against trees, electrical boxes, poles, hydrants or storm drains.
Crews will start pickups on Oct. 2. You must have your debris out by the road by Oct. 7 to ensure it gets picked up. These vendors are picking up non-containerized debris without a limit. The pickup timeline is dependent on the amount of debris in our county, so please be patient. Know that crews will rotate across the county to ensure every home is serviced.
With the new garbage company starting on Tuesday, please remember to keep your debris more than three feet away from your can to ensure a smooth garbage pickup.
