The restaurant was supposed to open by the Dollar Tree by Home Depot in Middleburg. It took forever to complete the building. Now it just sits there waiting on a tenant. Why did they say they were opening in Middleburg and now didn't?
After doing some research, I found that Another Broken Egg Cafe does not look to be coming to Middleburg after all.
Back in November of 2022, NAI Hallmark announced the restaurant would open in fall 2023. However, two years later, the cafe has yet to open its doors officially.
After reaching out, a representative from NAI Hallmark informed me that the restaurant had terminated its lease due to unforeseen personal reasons.
The restaurant — popular for its breakfast, brunch and lunch favorites — was set to be a part of a new construction expansion at 1782 Blanding Blvd.
According to a news release by the Jax Daily Record, the restaurant had signed a lease for the 3,800-square-foot building, which included an outdoor patio.
Currently, the space is available for similar uses.
