John Carol Padgett

John Carol Padgett, age 85, of Middleburg, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 10, 2023.

John loved his family and in times he was not working on his tractors, he could be found sitting on his front porch visiting with them. He loved his job of many, many years running heavy equipment/machinery- his favorite jobs were building lakes, dams and other constructions sites.

John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Nadine Padgett; parents, Berthie and Preston Padgett.

Survived by son, Steve and daughter-in-law Lisa Padgett; daughter, Carolyn and son-in-law Dickey Davis.

Grandchildren: Jesse (Brittany) Padgett, Alishia (David) Matuschke, Melissa S. Padgett, Nickey (Austin) Graham and D.J. (Rayla) Davis. Ten Great-Grandchildren: Wyatt Spencer, Ryland Matuschke, Emory Padgett, Caleb Matuschke, Mason Spencer, Preston Graham, Paisley Graham, Tripp Davis, Cassie Davis and Lydia Davis.

A visitation for John will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Hardage - Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. Graveside service will be Friday, September 15, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Black Pond Baptist Church, 3681 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068.
