Keystone Heights business offers relaxing atmosphere for classes, parties, tea
KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Jennifer Ford, the owner of the Learning Wheel, began her business as an enrichment center where people of various ages can teach classes. She also wanted to teach etiquette and have a place in which people could enjoy tea.
“My hope is to reach people and introduce them to a favorite tea,” she said. “Also, to provide an atmosphere of relaxation.”
She said the Learning Wheel is a place where people can relax and enjoy each other’s company.
The center has a tea room, wine room, and party room. The center’s tea room provides people with a calming atmosphere where they can enjoy tea. Jennifer offers a variety of tea to her customers and provides a play area for children. The wine room is a small place for those who want to relax or enjoy an intimate get-together. Lastly, the party room allows instructors to teach their classes whether it be dance classes, yoga or crafts.
The center had just recently opened a new class for babies and preschoolers called Tot Time. The class helps children learn and experience the basic needs for motor skills.
“The class focuses on movement, developmental skills, finger play, songs and crafts,” Jennifer said.
However, despite the new class, the center lacks instructors.
“We are really looking for instructors,” she. “I would love to have some instructors to come in and teach maybe beginner dance to preschoolers.” She says that the Learning Wheel is an opportunity for people who want to start a business but do not have a storefront.
“I am basically providing that brick-and-mortar storefront for them to teach music classes, dance classes, yoga and meditation,” Jennifer said.
Besides offering etiquette, classes and tea, the Learning Wheel is also a party venue. The tea room and party room can be rented for events such as birthday parties, baby and bridal showers.
“An intimate group, probably thirty to forty people, can rent the space,” Jennifer said. “They can either decorate it themselves or we can decorate for them.”
The Learning Wheel also partners with local restaurants to provide catering.
