Lake Region Prosperity Partners: There’s strength in numbers

KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – The Lake Region Prosperity Partners, part of the Clay Chambers of Commerce, was established as a resource for local businesses to gain the help needed to be successful and to face the issues presented such as insurance, business banking, legal services and marketing. The group is made up of small business owners, proprietors and individuals who meet monthly to learn business skills and to network with other businesses.
The group recently held its monthly meeting at the Keystone Beach Pavilion in which Membership Engagement Manager, Michelle Reaves, shared with members and non-members the benefits Clay Chambers brings to their businesses when they become a member.
Through the Chamber’s resources, members are given opportunities to network with other business owners in the county. Events such as Taste of Clay and Lunch N Learn are opportunities for business owners to connect with other businesses.
Members can stay informed about upcoming events in Clay County through the chambers website calendar of events. Other benefits consist of ribbon-cutting for members who are opening or reopening their businesses, a directory of Clay County business owners, and a newsletter. Members can also receive or offer discounts to other business members and post a job hiring on the Clay Chambers website.
The overall response to the Lake Region Prosperity Partners has been positive. Members view the council as a useful resource for networking and helping their business to grow.
“People do business with those they like,” said Patricia Evans, the president of Capital City Bank for Clay and Bradford and a board member.
She also said members aren’t limited to attending their local Chamber meetings but can attend other meetings Clay Chambers hosts throughout Clay County. Lastly, members are also able to expand their networking to all of Clay County and not just in their local area through these meetings.
Lake Region Prosperity Partners holds its meeting on the last Thursday of every month at 6 p.m.
Attendees can check the Clay Chambers website for the meeting locations.
