HOLLYWOOD -- Lynyrd Skynyrd, along with 38 Special founding member Donnie Van Zant, made a $100,000 donation to the Florida Disaster Fund during their “Big Wheels Keep on Turnin’” tour stop at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood in South Florida on Sunday, Oct. 16. The Seminole Tribe of Florida then matched the $100,000 donation, totaling a $200,000 contribution from the event. Gov. Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis were welcomed onstage for a check presentation by (from left) COO of Seminole Gaming David Hoenemeyer, Hollywood Councilman of the Seminole Tribe of Florida Chris Osceola, Skynyrd guitarist Rickey Medlocke, daughter Madison DeSantis, Ron DeSantis, Skynyrd front man Johnny Van Zant, Casey DeSantis, Donnie Van Zant, Skynyrd Tour Manager Ross Schilling and Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno.
