MIDDLEBURG – A man was arrested after an owner of a construction site reported materials were taken from an area on County Road 218 with “Warning: Designated Construction Site. Trespassers will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.”
When deputies arrived, they found sand and a shovel in trailer of a pickup truck driven by Andres Arado Gonzalez, 41, of Middleburg. He eventually was charged with grand theft and trespassing on a construction site.
The owner of the site said the site had been robbed before, so he wanted to press charges.
The case is still being investigated.
Arado Gonzalez’s bond was set at $650,009.
