ORANGE PARK – HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Chad Patrick as its Chief Executive Officer.
“I am thrilled to return to HCA Florida Orange Park Hospital, where I have the privilege of serving the community I love so deeply. Together, we will continue to advance our mission of providing exceptional care and support to all,” said Chad Patrick.
Patrick previously served as CEO of HCA Healthcare’s 853-bed Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina. Under his leadership, the hospital opened a new patient tower, a mental health and wellness center, and a burn and wound center. Patrick’s tenure at Mission Hospital followed his six years as CEO at Orange Park. During that time, he spearheaded numerous growth initiatives, including opening a heart and lung center, expanding the main ER and opening several freestanding emergency departments.
He also led the development of an inpatient rehabilitation center, the construction of a new 42-bed patient tower, and the creation of a Graduate Medical Education program.
“We are thrilled to welcome Chad back to a hospital and community he cares so much about,” said Hugh C. Tappan, President of HCA Healthcare’s South Atlantic Division. “Everyone I have spoken with – from the board to medical staff members – talked about how much they care for Chad and his family.
Before joining HCA Healthcare, Patrick held various executive roles, including Division President for Regional Care Hospital Partners and CEO of Meadowview Regional Medical Center. His extensive experience in healthcare began as a respiratory therapist, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of both clinical and administrative aspects of healthcare delivery.
“Chad’s proven track record in hospital leadership and commitment to patients, colleagues, and the community will be instrumental as we continue to enhance our services to provide quality care for our community,” Tappan said.
Patrick earned his Master of Healthcare Administration from the University of Central Florida and holds a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy from Ohio State University.
