CCSO: Armed man arrested for impersonating law enforcement
MIDDLEBURG – An Orange Park man was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 8, after Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies discovered he had “multiple” badges that suggested he was in law enforcement, including the U.S. Marshal’s office.
Jeffrey Gordon Keene, 65, was ordered to be held without bond after deputies were called to investigate a suspicious person on County Road 220. When they made contact with Keene, they noticed he was wearing what appeared to be a Velcro-backed U.S. Marshal badge. According to the arrest report, Keene was also armed with an unholstered pistol found lying in the passenger seat.
CCSO said Allen was also wearing two other badges on a chain around his neck, one claiming he was with “Pinkerton National Detective Agency.”
