JACKSONVILLE - Orange Park High wrestling Justin Daniels fulfilled a prophecy of sorts by returning home with a district wrestling championship behind six champions and after a close battle with county rivals Middleburg and Ridgeview at the District 3-2A championships on Saturday at Terry Parker High School.
Champions crowned for the Raiders were Cameron Broughton, Frank Sawyer, Jacob Campbell, Nartorian Lee, Reed Danieldson and Tyler DeHart.
Orange Park finished first with 183 team points just ahead of Middleburg with 178 and Ridgeview with 149 points.
Middleburg had championships from Chris Burch, Bryce Williams and Bailey Barnard.
Ridgeview had championships from
Marcus Reid, Jr., Saeid Ejmali and Malach Martin.
The region 1-2A championships are set for Feb. 24-25 at Tallahassee Lincoln High School. Top four finishers advance to the state championships on March 3-4 at Kissimmee's Silver Spurs Arena.
