Rolling Stoves food truck serves up great food, satisfaction

CLAY COUNTY – The Rolling Stoves Family Grill is a mobile catering delivery service and an event food truck serving a myriad of tasty options.

Sheena McLevy, founder and owner of the business, elected to kickstart The Rolling Stoves approximately one year ago today when she purchased her food truck from the Grub Brothers Creative Catering, an establishment with a similar operating model in Orange Park.

“I decided that it was an adventure that I wanted to get into, and I put it together in a few months,” she said.

McLevy is a longtime resident of the community, and her favorite thing is to feed her fellow residents in the county that she loves so dearly.

“I was raised here. I love this county. My goal is just to be able to feed this county and do as much community outreach as I can to impact people,” she said.

McLevy runs the family-owned operation alongside her fiancé and children.

As the hardworking mother and entrepreneur further works towards reaching her career goals, she has one special goal in mind: aiding in the advancement of the career growth of her daughter, a teenager that was recently diagnosed with lupus.

Lupus is an inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its tissues.

“The purpose of my business is to be able to have something for her to do when she gets out of high school, because her outcome is going to be a little bit different, so I want something she can have to help me run,” she said.

The Rolling Stoves typically delivers their fresh-to-order drink and food items to HCA Florida Orange Park, Clay County Building Department and an array of other locations, while also actively participating in a myriad of community networking and nonprofit outreach events throughout the year.

Most recently, the food truck and catering service were on hand at Finally Friday, a business and networking event put on by the Clay County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, Jan. 6.

Most importantly, The Rolling Stoves will cater the Challenger Enterprises Prom, a big-ticket community event set for the Orange Park First Baptist Church at 1140 Kingsley Ave. on Jan. 28 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

As for the food, a loaded menu features several cuisines of choice, including breakfast, brunch, lunch, coffee and tea, deli sandwiches, dessert, energy drinks, and smoothies and juices.

But that’s not all, as there truly is an option that will fit the liking of all taste buds.

Healthy food, comfort food, quick bites, family style and children’s menu are available.

As her small business continues to grow, McLevy envisions a further push towards the catering industry from the food truck industry in the career field that she loves.

“It’s easier, and it gives me more time to network. I love feeding people, and I love what I do,” McLevy said.
