CLAY COUNTY – Members of one small club, the Rotary Club of Northeast Florida, showed their generosity and kindness by giving gifts to various groups in the community during the holiday season. They brought happiness to many residents and some furry friends as well.
The first project involved delivering food to The Food Pantry of Green Cove Springs. The next project was to donate 21 blankets and lots of food and toys to the cats and dogs at Clay County Animal Services. After that, they filled up the Clay County Marine Reserves Toys for Tots box, which was empty when they arrived.
They also gave bags of joy to Pre-K students at Lakeside Elementary and elderly living in assisted living. The last project was to provide comfort and joy to the families at Quigley House. They gave more than 100 items to make sure adults and children had a Merry Christmas.
The Rotary Club of Northeast Florida was very busy this year, buying and delivering gifts to six important projects in the community. They either bought items or gave money to help make many dreams come true. The club members are already looking forward to next year.
