Seamark Ranch donations get down, dirty with Mud Run

GREEN COVE SPRINGS – Seamark Ranch was home to 1,068 runners last Saturday who slopped, splashed and squished around a five-kilometer course at the annual Seamark Ranch Mud Run. The event is a major fundraiser for the 465-acre campus that seeks to provide a traditional home environment where each child can experience the security of boundaries and the acceptance of unconditional love to heal wounds and help children prosper in faith, in school, and in the community. The success of the Mud Run wouldn’t be possible without the support of more than 200 volunteers, many of whom spent months setting up the course that included ponds, berms, pits, a rope web, a dip into
Black Creek and a 100-foot slippery slide down Prayer Hill. Since 2014, the Mud Run has been responsible for $1,121 million of the Seamark Ranch’s operating budget.
