Sylvia Yvonne McGee

Sylvia Yvonne McGee, 79 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, October 9, 2023. Sylvia was born in Patuxent River, Maryland to parents Malcolm and Ethel Louise Stallard. She moved with her family to many different cities and states with the Navy. In 1977 the family moved to North Florida, where she remained. Sylvia was a substitute teacher for many years, she loved working with children. She also enjoyed sewing, and knitting and used to enjoy making clothes for her kids and family. She had several animals that she adored, including her Chihuahuas and kittens. Sylvia loved her family and she loved the Lord!

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents Malcolm and Ethel Louise Stallard; Her first husband, Edward H. Varnadoe Jr.; and her second husband, Richard McGee.

She is survived by her son, Stephen Varnadoe; daughter, Lorraine Varnadoe, brother, Wayne Lance Stallard; grandchildren, Tess, John Mercer, Sean Mercer and Katie Varnadoe; great-grandchildren, MyKenzie, Brantlee and Emalea.
