GREEN COVE SPRINGS - Clay Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor Wes Taylor was honored with 20 years of service at Tuesday’s Board of County Commissioners meeting.
Joined by former and current Clay Soil and Water district members, Taylor was presented with an official certificate for his work, which included impactful missions such as organizing local school tree plantings, hosting outreach events at the Clay County Fair and setting up educational kiosks.
Additionally, the board noted Taylor’s commitment to educating local youth on the importance of conservation principles.
The role was established to provide assistance, guidance and education to the agricultural industry, landowners, and the general public on using and safely protecting the county’s natural resources.
