FLEMING ISLAND — If you've been seeing construction workers in and out of the building centered between Michaels and Kirkland's, your intuition that a new store is brewing is absolutely correct.
A Five Below will soon occupy the vacancy at 1991 East-West Parkway. According to building permits, the 7,999-square-foot-building is in its tenant fit-out, remodeling phase which will "include but limited to demo of previous tenant fixtures, finishes and infrastructure for preparation of new Five Below fixtures, finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and non bearing partitions."
Five Below is a specialty discount gift shop, offering trendy, affordable items priced at $5 or less. It was founded in Wayne, Pennsylvania in 2002. With thousands of stores across the U.S., this will be the first location in Clay County.
There is no confirmed opening date for the store.
