When are they going to finish work on County Road 218?
According to the county's website, construction at County Road 218 is on schedule and estimated to be completed in fall 2025.
The project, from Masters Road to Pine Tree Lane, is the first of seven projects in the county's Bonded Transportation Program. The Bonded Transportation Program aims to enhance a portion of the county's roadways to improve traffic flow, increase public safety, increase travel lanes, add drainage features, and include sidewalks and bicycle lanes.
Work for the C.R. 218 portion began in April 2024.
By the time the $26.2 million project is finished, it will have designed and reconstructed the road from Masters Road to Pine Tree Lane from a two-lane roadway section into a four-lane urban section. The work will also include a median/turn lane, curb, gutters, bike lanes and sidewalks.
