FLEMING ISLAND – Wreaths Across America at Jacksonville Memorial Gardens is proud to announce a local stop for the WAA Mobile Education Exhibit national tour.
The MME started its tour at WAA Headquarters in Maine and will be on Fleming Island on Friday, April 26 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 7190 U.S. Highway 17 for a scheduled event that is free and open to the public.
"The goal of the Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit is to bring communities together and teach about the organization's mission," Karen Worcester, Executive Director of WAA.
She said, "The exhibit serves as a mobile museum, educating visitors about the service of our nation's heroes and serving as an official 'welcome home' station for our nation's Vietnam veterans."
WAA is a nonprofit known for placing wreaths on veteran's headstones at Arlington National Cemetery. However, in 2023, the organization placed millions of sponsored veteran wreaths at over 4,100 participating locations nationwide. Wreaths Across America Mobile Education Exhibit to Fleming Island.
