KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – Four-year-old Olivia Mull of Middleburg gives Smokey the Bear a ‘high 5’ Sept. 29 at Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park during the annual Read With the Trees literacy event sponsored in conjunction with the Melrose Branch Public Library. Mull was one of about 40 kids who turned out for the afternoon of songs, reading and a scavenger hunt. The event kicked off with a surprise visit from Smokey courtesy of the Florida Forest Service. Mull’s mom, Summer Mull, said they attended because “We love books.”
