GREEN COVE SPRINGS – The Blank Check Society will be serving dinner and accepting blood donations on March 23 to raise money to purchase flags for the gravesites of veterans and first responders.
The fish fry will start at 11 a.m. at VFW Post 1988 at 421 S. Orange Ave., and it continue until they run out of fish. OneBlood’s Big Red Bus will be collecting blood from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and anyone donating will be served dinner for free.
The fry includes coleslaw and green beans.
