CLAY COUNTY – Now through Dec. 22, all Clay County students will receive breakfast and lunch free of charge with no application. Students must be 18 years of age or younger to receive a free meal. This is an extension of the Summer Food Service Program.
Lunch for the day and breakfast for the next day will also be available for pick-up for those not attending a brick and mortar school. Please contact your school for pickup times and location.
Parents picking up meals for their child(ren) must present a form of valid child identification. Valid forms of identification may include, but are not limited to, school identification card, child’s passport, government-issued child identification card, or any document proving parent/guardian identity and relationship to the child, such as an adoption decree; doctor, clinic or hospital record; religious record; or daycare center record.
Parents are encouraged to continue to complete free and reduced applications. Unless the Summer Food Service Program is extended, all students will return to their current meal status in January. Those who have not received verification that they have been approved for free breakfast and lunch will need funds after December 31st. Those attending a Community Eligibility School will continue to receive free meals throughout the entire school year.
Menus are available on the Food and Nutrition Services website at claycountyfns.com.
Due to holidays, there will be no meal service on Nov. 11, Nov. 23-27 and Dec. 23-31.
