KEYSTONE HEIGHTS – The Lake Region Kiwanis Club is accepting applications for entries to this year’s Christmas parade on Dec. 12 at 6 p.m.

This year’s route has been altered this year due construction on S. Lawrence Boulevard. The theme for this year’s parade is Santa’s Superhero Christmas.

Rules for entries include:

1. Floats must be brightly lit.

2. No float may have a Santa Claus. Kiwanis provides the only Santa

3. On Friday, Dec. 11, you will be called with your number in line and any last-minute instructions. Please place your number on your float for the judges and master of ceremonies to announce.

4. Check in is on S.W. Grove Street side of Keystone Heights High. Arrive between 4-5 p.m. and have your entry in place for judging by 5 p.m.

5. Parking and staging can be done at field next to the high school.

6. Do not throw candy from entry. Walkers may hand out candy.

7. All youth entries must be accompanied by adults.

8. Entry forms must be completed and mailed to Lake Region Kiwanis P.O. Box 715, Keystone Heights, 32656 or dropped off at My Brand (previously Mallards) at 255 S. Lawrence Blvd, City Hall or Hatch Realty Services at 350 S. Lawrence Blvd.

The parade will line up on S.W. Grove Street on the side of Keystone Heights High. Upon arrival check in to confirm your number and location then go to your designated marked spot on S.W. Grove Street. When the parade begins, you will move down S.W. Grove, left onto Orchid, right on S.W. Jasmine, right on S.W. Magnolia and right onto S.W. Pecan and end back at the high school.

Do not stop but do slow down in front of high school for announcing or any performances.

Judging will be done in six categories:

• Judges Choice

• Most Original

• Closest to Theme

• Best Youth entry

• Best Marching Unit

• Best Business Entry

Judging begins promptly at 5 p.m. You must be in place to be judged. Trophies will be presented at the high at the Judging Station.
