MELROSE – The Howlin Wolf will host a benefit motorcycle poker run and concert on July 22 to raise money for Brian and Theresa Warden, who have been beset by financial troubles associated with failed hip replacement surgery.
The couple isn’t able to work because of their medical problems, so the community will participate in a seven-stop poker run to support them. The ride starts at 9:30 p.m. and it will end at 3 p.m.
A donation of $20 includes the poker run, while a $25 gift is worth the poker run and barbecue meal. Two riders cost $30, while two riders and two meals cost $40.
The music lineup includes Amy Webster, All Fired Up, 2 The 9’s, Brett Russell, Paul Wane, Sweet William Band, The Gonzo’s, Southern Burn, Outlaw Country, Second Chance and Easily Distracted. An open jam session will be from 7-8 p.m.
There will also be a 50-50 raffle and a live auction.
