The Clay County Sheriff’s Office arrested Michael Fernandez Francisco, 53, at his Lake Asbury home on charges he allegedly stole about $19,000 in computer and audio-visual equipment while serving in the IT Department for the Clay County School District.
County Commission Chairman Wendell Davis said property values were up over 2.5 percent for the first time in six years, the unemployment rate dropped from 10.6 percent in 2010 to 5.6 percent at the end of 2013 and job growth was at 6.6 percent during the ‘State of the County’ address.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office made 40 arrests for various drug possession charges as part of a six-month undercover operation came to a head.
The Board of County Commissioners passed a six-page resolution clarifying for the Town of Orange Park a charge the county double-taxed the municipality.
